During the past two weeks, Bald Eagle #15-2199 remained on antibiotics and the veterinary staff cleaned the ESF pin sites on the eagle’s leg daily. The eagle continued to bear more weight on her left leg and by February 12, was standing normally. The veterinary staff is encouraged that the current antibiotic is treating the possible bone infection since there is a significant decrease in swelling and there are no outward signs of infection.
