Great Horned Owl #16-0191 continued to fly well during the month of May and consistently met or exceeded the optimum level for daily exercise; she was silent during flight with tucked feet, strong glides, and excellent stamina.
On June 1, the owl began live-prey testing in preparation for release. For four nights in a row, the owl successfully caught three live mice placed in her enclosure and passed “mouse school”.
