The family who initially rescued turtle #16-0047 released the turtle on May 18 into the river near where the turtle was found. The rescuer reports, “The turtle was very happy to be home and ran, as fast as a three legged turtle can, straight for the river. Roy [rescuer and releaser] saw the turtle again a few days later, and he seemed fine.”
The family promised to share photos of the three-legged turtle should they spot him again along the river.
