Tundra Swan #16-0157 continued to remain dull and depressed throughout the day on Friday, March 25 and remained unable to stand and reposition itself in the small indoor enclosure. Dr. Dana consulted with veterinarians at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota, since their facility treats dozens of swans a year, many with lead toxicity. Both veterinarians recommended euthanasia, based on the severity of the clinical signs.
