On Friday evening, prior to settling HK into a crate for the night, Dr. Monica, one of the Center’s veterinary interns, carefully crafted a splint for the eagle's broken leg using tongue depressors. She then applied a “Robert Jones bandage”, which is used to offer support to the eagle if he attempts to stand on the broken leg.
